WHO WE ARE
Located in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, on the beautiful Sea of Cortez, the Santa Maria Centro de Salud y Paz (In English means Saint Mary Center for Health & Peace), is a unique holistic, spirit based retreat center for recharging, recentering and refreshing the body and soul. ALL belief systems are welcome!
We believe wellbeing is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps community members reach their goals and fulfill their potential.
We are a "by donation" facility, except for our store's offerings. Workshops and classes are charged by the facilitator, who in turn may leave a donation for the use of the facility. The center is an alcohol/drug/smoke free facility.
We opened on March 12, 2020, just as the Covid-19 was jumping into full force, unfortunately, but we are ready to begin to offer the benefits of this healing retreat center as soon as we are able. Namaste.

THE CENTRAL ROOM
Our main room is suitable for up to 20 people for workshops and classes. Our center is available for you to book privately held workshops, classes, retreats and events.
HOLISTIC TREATMENT ROOMS
One room features a unique Japanese Migun bed - an electronic massage bed that heals and relaxes the body with rolling jade balls as acupressure therapy and infrared heat. Book a session for a massage, reiki treatment or any form of energy healing modality, such as acupuncture ear points and more. Contact us and we will connect you with a practitioner for an appointment. If you are a practitioner and wish to bring a client in, you are welcome also, and we will put you on the schedule.
HIMALAYAN SALT ROOM
Our Salt Room offers a quiet place for rest and restoration. Himalayan Salt is known for its many health benefits and is a great treatment for the sinuses and lungs.
ANGEL MEDITATION STATIONS
Sit and visit the 5 angels and the messages they have for you. Explore the inspiring story of the artist who created them, Lorraine Coffey.
OUTDOOR PEACE GARDEN
The Center provides a peaceful garden space for contemplation with opportunity to write your own prayer flag to hang, walk our labyrinth and enjoy a meal.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
Our center offers sleeping quarters for 14 people with shared men’s and shared women’s bathrooms with showers.
SANTA MARIA CENTRO STORE
Our store offers healing crystals, smudging items, organic oils/lotions and crystal jewelry made by local artisans, to name a few.
